Your advisory setup is defined by three independent choices: the advisors you select, the AI provider you configure, and the specific model you choose within that provider. Run the same panel of expert advisors against Claude for analytical depth, Gemini for a different frame, and GPT for a third opinion — then compare the outputs side by side. No other writing tool gives you this level of multi-dimensional advisory capability.

AI models evolve fast. Eddie periodically retrieves an updated model catalogue so your choices in Settings always reflect the latest offerings from each provider — no app update required. When Anthropic releases a new Claude, Google refreshes Gemini, or OpenAI ships a new GPT, Eddie picks it up on your next launch. You stay current without lifting a finger.

Complete Privacy Mode

Connect Eddie to a local AI model — Ollama, LM Studio, or any OpenAI-compatible server running on your Mac — and nothing you write ever leaves your computer. No data sent to any provider, anywhere. Ideal for legal, medical, journalistic, and corporate writing where confidentiality is non-negotiable.

Your Privacy

Your documents stay on your Mac. AI Eddie never stores or transmits your content to our servers — what you send to your chosen AI provider is processed directly by them under their own privacy policy. You control what gets submitted and when.

For complete privacy, choose the Custom provider option and connect Eddie to a local AI model such as Ollama running on your Mac. In this mode, nothing you write ever leaves your computer — not even to an AI provider. Read our Privacy Policy.
